4 years now in the "Land of Smiles" I've decided to change the front page a bit more! I'm not quite a "Newbie" anymore..but I still have lots to learn here.

This is the continuing story of a Scotsman who's moved out to Bangkok from Glasgow to change his lifestyle, his perspective, and his career as the endless pressures of dead-end UK wage-slave middleagehood slowly moved in.

Pleased to say it's all going very well thus far!! Within the first 18 months I was promoted from part-time teacher to Assistant Manager of a very famous University based language school teaching over 2600 kids every week. For what we're doing I reckon we're very possibly the best school in Bangkok (Indeed, I'd say it even surpasses the ubiquitous British Council!). I'm busy with all sorts of challenging projects and although I'm unlikely ever to be rich, my days are mostly filled with sunshine and laughter.You can't argue with that.

That's it in a nutshell..The rest of the site is about my life here, my blog (updated every Friday..mostly), things that piss me off, things that delight or surprise me, travel hints, pictures of the country, and some of the things I'm into like my music (My band "Snatch" site is on www.myspace.com/snatchbkk.
